Patrick Totty is owner and president of Larkspirit Editorial Services, a 12-year-old business writing company whose specialties are newsletter content, trade publication articles, corporate training materials and writing projects development. In his role as CBC’s Editorial Director, Totty is responsible for web site content, maintenance and flow.

His background includes 23 years as an editor and writer for newspapers, newsletters and magazines. Totty is past editor of The Successful Hotel Marketer, a national marketing ideas newsletter for the lodging industry; The Goldsmith, at one time the foremost regional retail jewelry magazine in the country; and Printing Journal, a western printing industry newspaper. As executive editor at San Francisco-based Allen-Pacific Publications, he represented the publisher in Europe and Asia in both marketing and editorial capacities.

Totty is also currently managing editor of two parenting–related publications, Berkeley, CA-based Parents’ Press and Parent.TEEN, as well as a regular contributor to several trade and university publications.
